Back to School Already?
I really can't believe how quickly this summer has gone by, and that our sweet Devi is starting sixth grade in a few days! With her charter, that's considered Middle School....Where has the time gone? We are we almost through the Dog Days of Summer already.
This week I had the fun project of strike sewing for a brand new fabric company, so what better thing to do than to sew my favorite girl a super cute back to school outfit! Of course, she knew exactly what she wanted, and I had the pattern and fabric, so we made it happen.
This outfit made me so happy because she hasn't had interest in twirly dresses for quite a while now. She wore the twirly dresses for so many years, I felt like they were all I made for so long! Even though I've made them so often for so long, and still do for other people, I was kinda missing making them for her.
But for this outfit, she brought the circle skirt back with this awesome jumper pattern by Ellie and Mac! It's called the Be Smart Jumper, and it really couldn't be any more fun! With a full circle skirt and suspenders, the cuteness factor is over the top!
Pair it with a basic t-shirt pattern like the FREE kids ABB Tee by the DIBY Club and some knee socks, pigtails and platform Mary Jane shoes, and it's such an adorable look! She was thrilled when she put her new set on, and I am over the moon to still be sewing for my kiddo, who's style is changing all the time.
